Subject - ASP distribution for Q2 2015
The Smartshares Australian Property Index Trust (ASP) was launched in
December 2014, and invests in 16 Australian property index trusts.
The ASP Trust pays quarterly distributions based on income received during
that quarter from the 16 underlying investments. The Trust last paid a
dividend on 21 April 2015. To 15 June, the Trust has not received sufficient
income to cover its tax liability for the period. As a result, the ASP Trust
will not pay a quarterly distribution for 30 June 2015. Smartshares expect
this to correct in the next quarter and the Trust should be in a position to
pay a distribution in the third quarter.
