The do or die goalpost [reporting date] has been shifted again. It is now 31st.July.
More elbow room was needed to consider the various proposals that have been received. They range from wanting just a spanner from the workshop to almost [not entirely all] of the whole shooting match.
A direct quote:
"We have obtained an extension from the Court to issue the report up until 31 July. Depending on what unfolds, we may seek an extension or issue that report sooner."
So the report may still be issued anytime really from now on as the negotiations conclude.
The diversity of the proposals is requiring a lot of work prior to recommending the best result for creditor return. No recommendation has yet been settled on therefore the further delay was granted.
However to again directly quote:
"Certainly the loss of the satellite has resulted in a commensurate loss in value, but I could see certain parties wishing to try to keep things together, but things are becoming more difficult in that regard. What this means for shareholders will unfold I believe in the next fortnight, but I would have to say now that the prospects of any return [for shareholders] are marginal at best. The ultimate outcome will depend on who wants what and in what sort of structure; something that is still to be determined, but I am talking to one party that is trying to formulate a deal encompassing most of the business and assets."
[The bold stress on some parts of the quote are mine]
So make of that what you will. I make no comment either way based on the fact that it is only an excerpt from a a larger communication.
There are many other parts being played out at the moment and it has become a complex mess. Regardless of all that, none of which will impact us from now on as shareholders, our only hope lies in the very vague I am talking to one party that is trying to formulate a deal encompassing most of the business and assets." comment above. The return even then would be very minute. No satellite = no bargaining chips.
I will update further as it comes through.
