I think the pollies in the NR have got themselves in a corner. Making pre-election promises, they can't keep. It is Labor/Greens that were totally anti-csg. The LNP has stated that they want a gas industry in NSW. Firstly, they brought in the 2km exclusion zone, then said they would adopt all the recommendations by Professor O'Kane, which took 18 months to complete. They have also reduced pels to 11% of the State, after as Baird said, Labor handed them out like confetti. NSW continues to import 95 % gas from other States. Where is the logic? The most populated State in Australia. The laughable thing is the areas in the NR chucking a big stink, are the ones that have little or no gas.

Just wish that the MPs in the NR were given the facts on CSG, so they had all the answers, for genuine concerned residents, rather than taking the lazy way out and being ignorant, and just going with the flow. We may not have been in the position, we are in now. After all, trouble only started when the Greens and LTG made their presence, in the NR. Mel had already drilled 50 wells and had been in the NR for 10 years. LTG are so well funded and well organised, that the community, has turned on Mel. Why wouldn't you when you have been told porkies, over and over again, and the gas industry and the State Govt, have been mute?
