Personally I reckon breaking up the EU would be a BIG move forward and it would reduce this issue we've got where if one of the EU countries gets itself into financial strife the whole world is thrown into turmoil.

It has been done before, and worked. There was the Swiss Loans affair here in Oz, in the '70s I think. A search on "gnome loans" may find it.

I doubt anyone is interested in our thoughts on the EU though. What Germany wants will probably happen.
