Still my question is - what loss or damage have they suffered?
Being annoyed that humans are still the ones that press the buttons on computers is not likely to win a court case if no material loss occurred. Screen shots, so what? NIB admitted there was a problem, so nobody has to prove it.

Anyway you are entirely entitled to your views on this, just I think you overstate the degree of sin here. When it comes to public companies and sin my favourite is Sir Peter Abeles paying himself $5m a year salary whilst the company TNT was going belly up. And yes that was many years ago, but I remember it well because it showed me that people are greedy even when they have more than their fair share. Why didn't he go to prison or lose his knighthood? A slip up by a pimply faced computer geek is nothing compared to what Abeles did. Let's try to keep things in some sort of perspective.
