    This is like kindergarten........

While the final clearance was always anticipated for Lynas it also covers another eight(?) tasks set for the Malaysian Govt. Presumably these have also all been met to satisfaction.

Given supply security is a key point of differentiation for Lynas product, and no doubt plays a role in price discovery in this opaque market, final approval, not just for Lynas but also its chosen operating location, is an important milestone.

A great deal of negative publicity was generated by the scare tactics employed and extended to Lynas's neighbours, customers, bankers and many others by direct or indirect association. US investors in particular did not understand the issue, inflamed by NYT's articles, and the common belief was Lynas would be shut down over the issue.

Final approval is important to a great many beyond just Lynas, or its SH's.
