ralom... don't just buy because a SP hits a 12 month low. Less than 11 months ago BHP was nudging $40!! It seems incredible now but remember POO had only just started tanking although IO and coal had been in freefall for about a year. Now Cu price is hitting 5 yr lows and IO could well be back to $50 within a couple of months. In short... the macro for BHP is terrible. So why take a risk? capital lost is eldom regained. Rather look for a company that has strong earnings, low debt and good divs... and i DON'T mean the banks.
