Also, while every other country started to rebuilt after the war, Greece had to endure a civil war from 1945-1949.
That was the price Greece had to pay for their "allies" geopolitical games and their help to free the country from German occupation. That includes, Americans, English, Russians etc etc.
Germany, that everybody admires these days, Germany that killed 11 million people was rebuilt by the Americans and the Russians.
