re: societe generale What I like is that not just are Soc Gen a big bank but they've also been a major holder on the UCL share register with over 20m shares for more than 2 years now. Plenty of time to get comfort that this project can succeed. That's why I'm excited that Soc Gen are giving Medhiabad the thumbs up. These guys believe that they're backing a winner, and if they've already had 2+ years intimate knowledge of UCL, 2 years to plan a funding strategy, and a few mill of equity then thats good stuff.

I think its all going to move pretty quickly from here, it would be icing on the cake if Iran and the US can cool things down between them but even if they don't, I don't see much getting in the way of the project - at best a few months delays if bombs start dropping (as unlikley as that is).

I first put money into UCL about the time of the Iraq invasion and lets remember that global sharemarkets started running almost the same day as the first bomb dropped. Within weeks, people were wondering which companies would benefit from the spoils of war...So I don't fear what a war would do to my investment here. No one seems to like uncertainty though, and thats what we are going through now.
