I don't think you have any choice once it's said, but to be honest that's a very far fetched comparison.
The question is is it true. The second is if it's not, well the paper has their facts wrong. But really what are the damages, the stocks in suspension and a public apology in their newspaper is all that's likely to happen.
As a matter of interest do you know the story is untrue?
