Hi all,
I just called Axiom and spoke to Vivian, Axiom's Communications Manager. She was lovely and very happy to answer my questions.
I asked if there was any indication of when the decision may be handed down. She said the final day had started today, and although some people were suggesting it could be decided on today she felt that was very unlikely. She made the excellent point that this is a landmark case in the Solomon Islands, not just in the length of the actual court case, but the impact on the island whatever the decision is. She likened it to the impact of the Mabo case here in Australia.
Because it's such a landmark case she couldn't see how it would be decided on today. The initial court case decision took 3 months, and she definitely doesn't think it will take that long. But 1 or 2 months isn't beyond the possibility. She said she wasn't talking out of school, that was just common sense and it's hard to disagree.
I also asked (and admitted it was a dodgy question) if she had a gut feel or had asked anyone how they felt the case went. She was only in court for about half an hour yesterday, but had asked the lawyers how they felt it went. They refused to give an opinion, saying they just wanted to focus on the case and the facts.
She confirmed that SMM brought nothing new to the proceedings, and both sides have had their full quota of days in court.
So there you go, nothing officially earth shattering, but she was absolutely lovely and more than happy to answer my questions. She said one shareholder had been to 2-3 days of the trial, and she was glad that shareholders are taking an interest into what is going on.
Hope that's of interest to some of you, all the best to everyone.

Must be getting towards the pointy end one would think.
I note the SP was floating around the same price back then.
A decision tomorrow would be good ...especially a positive one!
