NRW Holdings Limited – Contract Announcement
NRW Holding Limited is pleased to announce that the Company has been awarded a contract from Rio Tinto for contract mining and ore haulage, which will increase the production at Nammuldi mine. The scope of the contract includes; • Construction of mine haul roads, ore stockpiles, waste dumps and other mine infrastructure • Production mining (including drill & blast) • Haulage of high grade ore from mine area to the existing Nammuldi Plant site • Supply, installation and operation of two 5 Mtpa crushing plants
The Project has a value of approximately $140M, and will utilise a significant amount of existing NRW equipment including two Hitachi 250 tonne excavators and up to 14 Caterpillar 785 dump trucks. The contract term runs for 24 months and is anticipated to have a peak of 135 personnel on site, including local indigenous participation. Mobilisation and commencement of preliminary site works will commence in August 2015.
