Hartley's and other recent trading

Just had a quick look at who's been doing what of late. Those big trades last week (4 days to CoB Thurs) were dominated by Hartleys selling 1.82m @3.1c (this was 33% of trades). Interesting, given the up-tick that no one single big buyer ([email protected] through Shaws and 1.05m through the Third Party platform and the rest sub 500k).

Stepping back just a bit, so far this month, Hartleys have sold 12.6m @2.9c (48% of vol! - more placement stock coming out) but I do like the buying presence of Morgan Stanley with 3.7m @2.8c and Euroz picking 2.2m @ 2.7c

Stepping back even further, In the month of June, Hartleys was again the dominant seller with [email protected] (but also bought 10.8m @2.6c, 91% of which for director Michael Stewart). Before that Hartleys had been pretty tight with the placement stock. So they have only been sellers in the last 2 months but have been 36% of the volume.

I find this interesting because it is very unusual to see a stock appreciate during a falling market with a very dominant seller (at least more recently). This suggests to me that maybe 3+ completely separate buyers of reasonable size are stalking the market. I don't know why this would be the case because if it were me, I'd just call Hartleys and tell em how much I want, get it, (they have only sold 31m of the 146m they placed) and avoid playing leap-frog on smallish parcels.

But hey, if these guys want to chip away....fine by me.
