great post Bozwell. This will be the last post from me here as I do not wish to rob Cecil of his moment. But the rise of the social media mob mentality phenomena would be a good topic for another discussion. The internet is barely a quarter of a century old and widespread social media a fair bit newer that that. More and more in recent times we have seen bullying that has resulted in suicides, defamation law suits as a result of sustained social media attacks and just a general out pouring of continual mass rage through social media. One might be tempted to blame social media and label this as the dark side of the internet but really I think social media is nothing more that a mirror for our inner selves.
