NGN have identified Neumob as a competitor http://www.neumob.com/ offers a VPN service. As all data is channelled through NGN servers this would appear to be an additional service NGN can also offer. Individually Warpware app users would benefit from the privacy protection and geoblock avoidance features of such a service.
There may be a much greater opportunity at an enterprise level in Australia. 13 October 2015 the Australian Data Retention laws come into effect this really puts the squeeze on the smaller Australian ISPs.
"There are roughly forty unique ISPs with active subscribers operational within Australia today.
However because the legislation requires ISPs to cover infrastructure costs for things like data servers to retain electronic information for two years, small-scale internet service providers are now facing a situation where a higher intake in customers could equal a financial loss for them."

However if hypothetically your new ISP offered you more than 100% faster internet connection than offered by the big three Telstra, Optus or iiNet because they routed all their traffic through NGN servers. I think that would warrant a premium. This is a big if, but If the ISP could lessen the cost of implementing the data retention regulation since all the metadata would be 'User X connected with NGN at 00:00:00' 'User X disconnected with NGN at 00:00:00' then you would have a serious contender. iiNet market cap $1.55bn.

VPNs, or Virtual Private Networks, are a must have to secure all of your online information and keep them out of the hands of hackers and snooping governments. When logging into a VPN network, all of your online data is tunneled through encrypted servers set up all over the world, making you and your sensitive information (e-mails, browsing histories, credit cards) virtually untraceable. They even have the added benefit of allowing you to access geographically restricted websites from US Netflix Instant Streaming to Hulu to NFL Football to Amazon Instant to UK’s iTV!

"VPN’s already are a popular means for getting around geoblocks that stop Australians from accessing overseas online stores or US based streaming services such as Netflix. But the government’s plan for data retention laws is giving VPNs a new lease of life...
VPNs received another unexpected boost at the weekend when Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull hinted it may be a way to avoid IP addresses being recorded. “Your web surfing history is a matter for you. “You’ve all got VPNs anyway,” Mr Turnbull said at the GovHack “hackathon” awards in Brisbane on Sunday, “All of you appear to be somewhere in Iowa when you go online ... I know that ... anyway, I won’t go on.”"
