From The Australian today.... OceanaGold acquisition of Romarco Minerals to access their flagship prospect;
"Oceana, which operates mines in The Philippines and New Zealand, described Haile as one of the best gold development assets currently owned by a junior.
Once the mine comes into production by 2017, Oceana said it would produce about 540,000 ounces of gold a year at an all-in sustaining cost of less than $US600 an ounce.
Oceana chief executive Mick Wilkes said the low-cost, long-life Haile mine would complement the company's asset base. "The combination of the sector-low cost profile with significant free cash flow generation, diversified production and a pipeline of organic growth opportunities forms the lowest-cost gold producer globally," Mr Wilkes said."
While we may not have the size (540koz per annum is big), this puts into context the scoping studywhich hopefully has upside still left in it for the PFS release as they get sharper with design and pricing
