I don't know about popularity. There are so many variables at play such as volumes traded, number of shorts, volatility of SP, announcement of news, pumping by brokers etc etc, the list goes on.

There is clear distinction of risk when considering entry at additional accumulation in both stocks. Although NST has a higher short % I suspect some are hedged existing physical positions to lock in gains or quarantine it while the pog is precariously close to the short term support. All theory of course. If I were a shorter, there are better candidates elsewhere with a down trend.
