Boatboy, the reason Bronwyn Bishop is the focus of attention is that she is the Speaker and therby expected to play a major roles in upholding standards. To that end, she played an unforgiving role in what was done to former Speaker, Peter Slipper, thereby setting the benchmark by which she should be judged.
It's increasingly apparent that just as she was party to sinking the boots into Slipper that she had her snout thrashing around in the parliamentary entitlements trough. As the most partisan Speaker in our history she has brought Parliament into almost complete disrepute and the longer she remains Speaker the greater the damage she will inflict on it.
