a few years back just before umc was taken over by bhp and the share price fell from around $1.25 to around 75 cents i was one of the very few people on hotcopper saying that if you want to make money then buy at around the 75 cent mark.

i was also one of the very few people that actually picked bhp as the suitor. just about everyone else was imo trying be too clever with their left field predictions regarding who would end up owning the railway iron ore deposit.

fyi umc was bought out by bhp for $1.25 from memory.

imo we have an interesting situation here with ags because quasar already has a stake. imo the "accepted offer" is insufficient. imo quasar will need to dig deeper because others will be happy too.

we may also have an interesting situation here because of what maybe some interesting confidentiality clauses agreed to by alliance.

ultimately imo the offer will go higher. basic hot chick theory analysis.
