As I mentioned one of the Ovionics large format battery patents used NO REE. Ovionics had something like 125 patents in that area so hard to know which one or ones were infringed - plenty of information about Panasonic being sued but no detail on the exact patents. And I just found out why, the International Court of Arbitration (who ruled on the matter) ordered the files relating to the case and the judgement be sealed.
You would expect that as L ion is a newer that they would have much more to find than with NiMH as far as weight, density, safety and the main one price to make.
