There has to be a baseline in any theory or faith based understanding. The baseline is that either this consciousness is without beginning or end and pre-matter contained within a meta-universe is also without beginning. With or without God there is a need for a preexistent something.
Finite minds have no concept of the infinite.
The evidence will further unlock the secrets of the phenomenal universe. Only faith based on reasonable assumptions can extract anything of a probable nature of the cause behind the science.
Do not for an instant imagine that we are not a faith based being. The vast majority of our existence is based in faith. Jump on a passenger jet. Fall in love. Take your sick child to a doctor. There goes science hand in hand with faith.
