IOP UP 4% tnt
Broker data shows us who the sellers n who the buyers are
- comsec is no 1 gross n net buyer
- credit suisse a banker for AF FMG is no 2 or no 3 buyer
- jp morgan a top 10 holder in FMG SIR POS AHZ being most of AFs investment vehicles is no 3 buyer
- no 1 seller is obvious
- other top bank holders in AF vehicles like natnom, citi, HSBC net buyers but lower volume
- looks to me like the accumulaters are the FMG old boys or AF or FMG
- the mystery comsec buyer is a dark horse, maybe CBA or AGO LTHs.
The posted data reveals the buyers column is strong, well known trading houses, its no accident, a well orchestrated accumulation strategy using well known brokers.
On this data, a substantial buying holder notice of 5% must be imminent in days. 52M out of 500M shares bought is not much unless they have taken 4.9% in 3 different vehicles to hide it, which I doubt, but is possible.
Who would buy so many cheap shares in AGO? Hold the SP at 3.5c or hide under comsec? It has to be a large player, chinese steel mill, FMG AF or ?
