Agreed, I doubt any retail punters have margin loans, since Commsec, ANZ haven't allowed margin lending on PDN for over a year. I reckon shorts triggering stops has some cred, unless there is a fundamental sector or company reason that we don't know about. I expect JB will have an ann tomorrow to reassure that there is no unannounced issues etc.
