It depends though, for Nine it might be $0 return and a guarantee of a competitor not being listed on the ASX (whether its QuickFlix or an international Chinese Gvt Backed entity) or a few million dollars.
A retail shareholder will rarely understand the bigger picture the media players are working in from my point of view.
At very least its obvious that nine wanted a say on any takeover for their last cash injection, now its just a waiting game I guess.
