IKE 13/08/2015 08:40 GENERAL NOT PRICE SENSITIVE REL: 0840 HRS ikeGPS Group Limited (NS) GENERAL: IKE: ikeGPS, SPIDA Release Integrated Solution For Immediate Release August 12, 2015 ikeGPS, SPIDA(R) Software Release Integrated Solution for Efficient Data Collection - New software solution combines field data collection with pole engineering - BROOMFIELD, Colo.--ikeGPS (NZX: IKE) and SPIDA Software announce an expanded collaboration that offers direct integration between pole data collection solution GE MapSight(TM) and structural analysis software SPIDA(R)Calc, which creates a field-to-finish solution for the collection, design and analysis of utility poles. As part of this integration, SPIDACalc users can set up data collection forms for the MapSight device based on their SPIDACalc v6.1 design properties and requirements. After the pole measurement data is collected with MapSight, the data can then be exported to SPIDACalc software, enabling users to conduct a comprehensive pole loading analysis. "We are excited about the highly anticipated integration that MapSight has completed with SPIDACalc software," says Brett Willitt, vice president of SPIDA Software. "MapSight further extends the reach of SPIDACalc into the field. SPIDACalc is a robust software application that is enhanced by the new MapSight integration, offering our users a new strategy to break down the 'data collection barrier.'" SPIDACalc uses its nonlinear calculation engine to perform comprehensive pole loading, pole strength and guying analyses. The analyses are ran against a variety of safety standards, including the National Electrical Safety Code, California's GO95 and Canada's CSA standards. The MapSight solution integrates a laser rangefinder, submeter GPS, digital camera and compass all into one ruggedized device. It allows for the collection of target location, distance, pole height and span length, and angle measurements within the single instrument and produces a measurable image, known as TrueSize. This enables users to calculate and label pole attachment measurements within the image. MapSight has revolutionized the tedious, error-prone and expensive field data collection process for utility poles. Using the MapSight forms that directly integrate with SPIDACalc requires users to upgrade to the new version of MapSight Desktop v.3.3.0, which is set for release in early September. The new software will be available on www.gemapsight.com. For more information on how this integration increases productivity in the field for engineers conducting pole load analyses, ikeGPS and SPIDA Software invite users to a joint webinar entitled SPIDACalc and GE MapSight: Weaving a Seamless Solution. The webinar will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m. EST. Complimentary registration is available at www.gemapsight.com/?p=3744. ### About ikeGPS ikeGPS is changing the way the world is measured, utilizing its smart laser measurement solutions to capture, record and export measurement data. Electric utility, telecom, government, engineering, construction, real estate, signage, and other field data collection-based professionals use ikeGPS products to modernize the way measurements are taken and shared. Spike, a laser accurate Smartphone measurement solution, and GE MapSight, an all-in-one customizable field data collection solution, uniquely combine intelligent software and hardware into comprehensive but simple-to-use tools. With an ike photograph, you can capture measurement, distance, location and other data in real time, significantly improving business process, user productivity and safety. ikeGPS is headquartered in Wellington, New Zealand and is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange under the stock symbol IKE. About SPIDA(R) Software SPIDA Software is leading the way with practical and cutting edge software solutions that help electric utilities and telecommunication companies better design, manage and track their physical assets. SPIDACalc utilizes the latest software technology and an advanced, proprietary nonlinear finite-element analysis engine to drive pole loading, pole strength and guying analyses. These analyses are configured to test against a variety of safety standards including the National Electrical Safety Code, California's GO95 and Canada's CSA standards. SPIDA DB provides the foundation utilities need to take control of their data and use it in an effective and efficient manner. With SPIDA DB, utilities can store and retrieve all SPIDA-generated data in one centralized location. Users simply search by location or project to find all relevant data stored within SPIDA DB. Easy drag-and-drop functionality imports and exports any design or project data directly into SPIDACalc. SPIDAMin is a web-based, licensed application that incorporates innovative graphic workflow tools allowing the utility to set up and configure their current processes in the system, putting the power of automatic in the hands of the user. SPIDAMin coordinates the chaos of daily utility-life while capturing all activity in a centralized database for later reporting and analytic evaluation.
