Why should we lose our money because of the loonies spreading fear and misinformation in the NR?
1. Either the State Govt honours our contracts or
2. Buy out Mels certified reserves.
Afterall Mel drilled over 50 wells in the NR and there were no problems until the loonies went door to door spreading fear with their misinformation and started intimidating the community.
Why has the State Govt not taken note of that? The State is about to spend millions on ads on the Telly re the inconvenience of roadworks in George St Sydney, where they dont get a cent back, yet not prepared to spend money on ads in the areas, where there will be CSG activity, to educate the public, about safety, and that its not a new industry, and the benefits it will bring to the area. Not to mention energy security for the State and taxes to improve rural areas and money to farmers for land access.
Like Ive said before the pollies are only interested in saving their jobs, their objectives are only short term, not long term. They are quite happy, that even though the loonies ran a successful campaign of lies, and the misinformed residents have turned on Mel, that that is good enough to ruin a company and all its shareholders, by not allowing them to work in that area. We have no other interests elsewhere. So what happens? Does the company cease to exist if there is a buyout, because I am definitely not interested in a new Mel? We have all had enough.
What a disgrace! How can the pollies say that the NR is now not suitable for CSG, when Mel was there for over 10 years. The way they are going with just 9% of NSW having PELS, it seems that they have caved in to the loonies and those PELs will eventually come down to zero. I still can not understand the Govts logic as QLD energy supply is 90% CSG.
