Looks like the ALP is kissing up to the Greens again (did they learn nothing from the Gillard years?): “Labor will not support amendments to the EPBC Act that weaken environmental protection laws, or limits a concerned community from exercising their rights to challenge a government’s decision,’’ a spokeswoman for opposition environment spokesman Mark Butler said."

If the ALP tries to block this kind of reform, they can kiss goodbye to ever winning Bass and Braddon ever again. I suspect they'll try to hold out for a bit, make some small amendments to appease their green-leaning voters, and then pass the reform.
