Without trying to be a resident guru, these are my personal understanding of XTV only:

Should have asked about the Facebook/Twitter/Socia Media functionality. Eg: is it capable of showing live feeds/posts while the video content is playing?

    Yes it does

Does it have 'listening' capabilities like some of the social media aggregator companies out there - like Wildfire or BuddyMedia? Can the company (xtv customer) post/comment on social media sites using xtv interface?

Not sure but it does have sharing functions where users can share the content on social media sites like Facebook.

Any data analytics? How do they measure how effective their network is? Actual viewers of content vs viewers of advertising? If its a pure advertising channel for eg - is there data analytics that is able to measure how effective or popular different video content is?

Yes XTV does provide analytics for engagements etc, you can find this at the bottom of their website.

Do we even know if all the channels xtv has set up are paid for by the brand being advertised? Some of these must be demo - xtv crawling the net for content (including crowdsourcing) and compiling it in a fancy, appealing and nifty looking way with all this additional functionality like social media monitoring and presenting it to a prospective customer - sort of like 'hey - look at this video and other stuff i achieved with random internet content. So how about you pay xtv to design your video, user interfaces and channels and you just focus solely on being the content owner - improve your content only and let me xtv worry about how to present it and everything else'.

That's a misconception IMO. XTV allows enterprises to create and own their own branded .TV network. The client can choose to customise however their screen looks and what is being broadcasted and what functionality to be included. They can plug their own contents from existing sites like YouTube & Vimeo instantly or create one that can be hosted directly on the XTV platform. They can choose to create their own content, pay for a content producer to do it, or pay XTV for help in curating those contents. At the end of the day, that enterprise owns their own TV network which they have full control over where they can unify all of their video and social feeds from an increasing number of public sites into a single branded .TV network. They also have full administrative control over their own network.

So I think announcements about signing on customers and who they are and what they are paying is not that important to me right now. It's start up - this can be a low figure. What I need to know here and now is what is the 'service' xtv are selling? Just building video with crowdsourced content - or more design and functionality like that mentioned above about social media monitoring, management and reporting. I just think the latter will give us a better understanding on how to value - as it helps us understand why customers will sign up to xtv in the first. If the 'services' are clearly identifiable and we know they are something these customers we want - then its just a waiting game until they build their market share.

Yes agree, XTV is operating in a greenfields market and grabbing market share should be the prime objective at the moment. XTV is the pioneer in this new era and as the momentum picks up more and more functions and product offerings will be added accordingly. I don't think the existing customers are paying too much at the moment as many of their videos are pulled from existing sites and the depth of their contents are not there..... yet.

But if all xtv do is just build channels to broadcast and don't include any functionality, no ability for a viewer to interact with what they are watching, no way for a xtv customer to review analytics related to the video - then we may have problems.

    Not true.
