As for the strategy, depends what your time frame is, and why you're in certain companies.

I have a 6-12 months outlook on MMJ, so why would I sell now for a 10% loss when I can just hold and likely see it recovered? Also, my position is very small in terms of my portfolio, it's really my only speccy, so it's money allocated to a risky proposition.

As for the rest of the market, different people have different philosophies, but if you invest in good companies with solid track records and a good outlook then there's no reason to sell out for a loss aside from fear. You may get the chance to buy tomorrow for cheaper, however we could also have a 2% and then you're out of your position, no dividends coming in, and a loss.

The market goes up, the market goes down.
