IMO its their way of dealing with their failure to achieve the goals set over the last 6 years. They know that they cant just keep going back to the market to raise capital when their not generating income. This way they raise capital and buy a going concern that does generate some income whilst they still grapple to close a decent cash flow generating deal that has been mooted over the last 6 years. Could be a reasonable move and definitely a distinct change in focus and direction but it doesn't seem that the market is over impressed at this stage.
