Yes, there are likely to be headwinds, but TNG were never looking to fund this entirely from the Korean involvement, so why give more than they need to, to Woojin, especially considering the buzz around renewables and energy storage? It's a smart move if anything.

Woojin have basically said they will stump up around $200m based on forward sales of Vanadium, the second biggest revenue generating product of the 3.

The NT Govt. should be good for the infrastructure side of things, with their $5bn development grant. I dare say that takes care of another $200m?

Siemag seem to have gazumped POSCO with their desire to fund and build the Tivan refinery. I think people seriously underestimate the importance of this refinery in TNG's future.

Even without mining Mt. Peake, you could buy the dirt from a tin pot little exploration company (which rampers keep spamming on these boards) for less than $10m, and make a good profit from the Tivan refinery alone.

Perhaps some people don't realise the scale of what we have.

It's not about the demand for steel, it's about the demand for strengthened steel. We've all seen the pictures of flattened Chinese buildings, which weren't reinforced. That's why the Govt. there has made it law that they are reinforced to Grade 2 (?) at least, now.

Short term challenging economic climes will frighten away some holders, it's to be expected. Good luck to them in finding safer investments, more suited to their investing style.

I'm holding firm. There's too much good news just around the corner to get me pulling the plug on my sizeable investment in TNG.
