The ASX 200 hit 3350 in March 2009. It went there due to panic - our economy was booming and we had no recession.
A stock market crash has no logic and has almost nothing to do with the economy. It is driven by human emotions of fear and greed wanting to buy in lower and not get stuck with high average price .
I am using 4000 because allowing for inflation 3350 is approximately 3850.
