    Can't say I read the article with your detailed eye for grammar (my expectations are pretty low these days when it comes to grammar in the media!!). Fair call on that point.
    Don't agree with you though about it being "a win" for the Abbott govt. Heydon staying gives the critics of the Commission an ongoing target and will deepen suspicion about the Commission's findings among those who don't start with a pro or anti union view. Naive to think otherwise. You can also bet there are some in the media who won't let it go.
    Would have been better for Abbott if he'd resigned. Take some short term pain and starve the critics of ammunition that plays to swinging voters (many of whom probably don't have a strong view one way or another about the union movement).
