This would make sense if the Pipe was large enough.
Different colours are formed by different impurities present during the forming process.
So with a large enough pipe it would seem possible to have certain areas of different minerals... I dont think Magma is a homogeneous type liquid.
If this was the case and the Kimberlite has different regions/layers that hold different colors, I would be very interested to see what type of special shades you would get where 1 color starts to meet another.
