What a stupid post.

The correct term is asylum seeker. Full stop. It is not illegal to seek asylum. Those other terms are simply convenient rhetoric used by bigots to justify their own prejudices and de-humanise refugees.

Politicians (from both sides) who use those terms should have the guts to stand up on the international stage and state that Australia is officially closed to refugees and that we intend to rescind our support for the international treaties Australia signed up for.
