Looking further at metal recovery from industrial waste i came across the following article which whilst it doesnt discuss CLQ's tech discusses waste containing metals as a result of various industries.

looking at the categories:

Fly ash 2103 figures china produces 500mt per year.

e-waste,  70% of global e-waste ends up in China. seems to overlap on figures with some of the batteries.

Plenty of stuff on lead batteries but not on the cd/ni or button types specifically.

Spent catalysts. well china is the worlds largest importer of crude oil so one would think there are plenty of those as well.

Plating industry. couldn't find any real figures but note that China imports 40% of the worlds nickel. Asia has 35% of the worlds plating industry.

not saying that any of these areas are particularly amenable to clq's processes and that other methods to deal with the recovery aren't available. just filling in some time this morning waiting for my wife at the hairdressers and thought i would put it up for what it is worth. we all know China has myriad environmental problems. lets get a move on and start to deal with them.
