It's highly likely Abbott will be PM up until the next election.
The only member of his front bench with enough talent to take over is Turnbull (and his cabinet colleagues can't stand him), and Labor will be doing all they can to see he stays around until the election.
Abbott's as unpopular in the real world as he's popular on Hot Copper. A third of coalition voters rate his performance as poor and the rest just think he's a goose.
