I don't think its much of an assumption. Obviously a large fraction of those migrating from the Middle East will be Muslims. Muslims have no choice but to believe in the literal word of the Koran which specifies they must work toward Sharia law and the dominance of the religion.
If per chance I had been born in Africa or the ME I would be taking the path to Europe. I don't blame individuals for trying to better themselves. However if the Europeans are weak minded enough to allow the incomers to take over they will find themselves in the same situation as our aboriginals, American Indians or the Incas.
