I'm just wondering who is offering land to put them on. Was it Turnbull, I just heard him say on the Drum that we need to have big hearts, so he was of course offering his large property holdings for their accomodation, or did I get that wrong?
I don't see how the issue can be separated from property ownership. We see the biggest property holders telling us we should have big hearts, but it is actually our large and growing homeless population, home renters struggling to pay exhorbitant rents, strangling the economy, who are being asked to have the big hearts.
