I am far from a geology expert but the Siana mine shows basalt on the north & east sides. My guess is the limestone is the highly permeable rock where water may flow freely due to high permeability. Interesting that the failures seemed to occur in the basalt sections on the northern & eastern sides; why? My guess is high pore pressures in fissures & discontinues in the basalt sections; my opinion only!
