Why is it a shame? What, because my views oppose yours or because it opposes geoff kennet who I woukd hardly call a doyen.

The obvious difference between u and I lapdog is that I clearly have the ability to form my own views whether they oppose so called "doyens" or not. I don't need to troll through the SMH of whatever fairfax mag to find those who support my opinion or to form my view.
