"Become a student of change. It is the only thing that will remain constant".
POO is low at the moment and it could go lower.
But eventually things will change, they always do.
Will the world get the capital expenditure required in E&D for oil, if the POO is $40 ?
I dont think so.
Remember, APLNG was built with an expected life of 20 years plus.
The POO may remain low in 2016. But no one knows what the future holds.
One thing I do know, 10 years ago, US shale producers could only make money when the POO was $100 US.
But with innovation, they are now profitable when the POO is half that.
Who can say the same thing doesnt happen with APLNG ?
Where innovation leads to the breakeven point for APLNG to go from $55 to $30 ?
