No takeover rumour. Had more to do with what Peter Costello was reported to have said.
Sounds like Costello is now more favourable to considering takeover propositions which are thought to be invoking "the national interest".
This suggests that WPL could well go back into play and, if so, Costello will at least consider ant resulting takeover proposition with an open mind.
No, there is no immediate, or imminent takeover out there. But, Costello's comments have certainly rekindled the fire, and some sparks are flying.
