I don't have any with the concept of kosher or Halal food. Indeed I think that it is Australia's interests to offer Halal for its export markets. The issue here is the forcible funding of religious bodies which use that money to promote religious conservatism through everyday shopping.
We are talking at least several millions dollars per annum to contribute to the building of many Mosques both in Australia and abroad.
Sure we live in an imperfect world, that is why we employ politicians to make it better...
