As you can see in this chart, the internet itself is taking the 2G market offline. 10 years ago I suffered internet browsing on 2G Edge while in the boondocks. Pages were on average 10x lighter back then. Now mobile Skype app won't even log on with 2G here. Why would I buy data if I can't browse the web? Just for Zipt? I don't think so. IMO, the 2G niche argument has this fundamental flaw.
