the bulk of transactions happen at pre-open (it surely happened the day of the announcement if anyone remembers??) - has anyone noticed the buy/sell orders pre open are always matched perfectly bar 1 share? e.g. 3,000,000 buy order vs 2,999,999 sell order... so that the brokers can skip the line

anyway, I had a sell order that was 6th in the queue before the announcement. I was almost tempted to pull it when they announced the JV expecting to sell at higher, but luckily I didn't.

Well guess what, a week later it has not been hit yet, I am still in queue to sell.. I think only a couple of mil shares have gone off the queue during the past week, including the day of the announcement despite the 30 mil volume, everything else has been bought/sold at pre/after market

so even if you see some volume going through , realise that the .003 sell orders in the queue will take forever to be hit, unless something monumental happens

you could try your luck and put your shares up for sale at .002 in pre-open, but expect the astute traders/brokers to clear the deck just before open and you might actually end up selling at the lower price
