The power generated is proportional to the area of the buoy. The C6 has 3.3 x the area of the C5. The remaining 0.7 improvement in the factor of 4 comes from other efficiencies gained. One of these is not having to push circulating fluid through 6.6km of pipe. Resistive losses in the transmission cable will be less.
These efficiencies are not yet completely quantified so that the final diameter of the C6 will be adjusted to yield an output of 1 MW.
