The power generated is proportional to the area of the buoy. The C6 has 3.3 x the area of the C5. The remaining 0.7 improvement in the factor of 4 comes from other efficiencies gained. One of these is not having to push circulating fluid through 6.6km of pipe. Resistive losses in the transmission cable will be less. ​

These efficiencies are not yet completely quantified so that the final diameter of the C6 will be adjusted to yield an output of 1 MW. ​
