crazy - my back of napkin math suggests pbnewby's number is about right

ie. think us debt is aorund $7bn of the 8.8bn net debt - that would make a 1c fall in AUD a 1.4% rise in interest cost. or about $100m

on the other hand, sales should also rise by 1.4%. which would probably generate an extra 20-30million in sales income.

so the net impact of a AUD fall is probably more like $70m - thats my best guess

AS for massive punt - no just a punt - depending where you buy it,

For me it is now a 'trading stock. Which means you can buy it below $4.50 for both short and long term - but with a tight stop.

But buying where it sits above $4.50 is buying in no mans land - just a huge sea of churn thats neither good price fo specualtive long term - nor smart positioning short term.

but that is just me
