Orders & Revenue Continue To Increase In Bedding Sector
Dear Shareholders,
You, by virtue of the fact that you are shareholders, are big believers in the potential of Alexium and what we have to offer in the world of flame retardant chemistry, and you share the excitement of all 27 employees who currently work very hard to bring that value to you. As Alexium’s operational leader it will become increasingly important for me to give you a clear sense as to how we are progressing. As I continue to learn from our CEO, I expect you will hear from me more often as exciting opportunities continue to unfold.
One of the many exciting opportunities unfolding was the first large-scale order from a major bedding customer, detailed in a press release on September 14, 2015. That was the first order leading to a forecasted run rate of $200,000 - $300,000 per month, as detailed in prior press releases. What is even more impressive is that this only constitutes one of our many other customers.
Those orders have since commenced. We have delivered and invoiced an additional 5,000 pounds of Alexiflam chemistry and have additional orders in hand for over 32,000 pounds per month for the 4th quarter of 2015. This chemistry is to build inventory ahead of a major bedding show in January, where the run rate is predicted to meet or exceed our previously published run rate, as reception to this new mattress product is expected to be very strong.
Being responsible for Alexium’s operational progress, I am in the details of all these opportunities on a daily basis and this is one of the many very exciting opportunities for Alexium. The entire Alexium team, which continues to grow, has maintained a strong belief in the products and the potential that is quickly becoming a reality.
