Yes happydad, you are quite correct there - let them put their money where their mouths are. The fact is that the trial results to date are poor, no matter how you dress them. Drop-outs are drop-outs, and why they dropped out is irrelevant as trials always have this happen - by definition they have failed when it comes to statistical analysis, and any other approach is fiddling the results. When 60% of the trial patients drop out you have a problem. Comments about the high rate of placebo response rate is also irrelevant, as I mentioned previously, but it's not a good look when your trial drug has a lower response rate than placebo. This announcement might have had a short term benefit on the share price, which the company desperately needs for its credibility (and ability to raise funds) but lets see what it's like in a month's time.
